QA TECHNICIAN

SUMMARY:

QA Technician supports all operations that fall within assigned department responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, manage, and monitor all aspects of the QA function

• Implement and maintain safety procedures with the production team members

• Train the team members on the critical points of the client safety system

• Ensure quality, safety and consistency of all company products

• Maintain all safety related initiatives including but not limited to safety programs and incentives

• Review and maintain label books for new products or changes

• Comply with QA Programs assisting employees with compliance

• Maintain calibration programs

• Monitor GMP’s 

• Maintain Pest Control programs

• Investigate Customers complaints if needed

• Manage rework teams or pallet configuration teams relating to product quality and traceability

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to learn and use high skill level of accounting and manufacturing systems used by the company in addition to Label View Label Programs
• Usage of high skill level of the ETQ system
• Maintain KPI’s for Operations to help meet production specifications and product standards, as well as reduce overall costs, maximize productivity and profitability
• Safety Knowledge
• Familiarity with FDA HACCO programs
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

EDUCATION

• High school diploma and/or GED equivalent
• Minimum 6 Months experience in Quality Control environments

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless product being stored requires specific temperatures

• Conditions in warehouse setting can be dangerous, as tasks involve operation of heavy machinery. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts

• PPE may be required. Safety gear to include face mask, ear plugs, steel toe shoes , etc..

PAY/SHIFT

$35.00-$45.00  per hour DOE

Monday- Friday 6:00 am- 2:30 pm or 2:00 pm-10:30 pm (additional $0.50 shift differential)
