WAREHOUSE CLERK

SUMMARY:

Warehouse clerk maintains many of the same responsibilities of a Warehouse Associate, keeping track of inventory, overseeing shipments and deliveries, keeping warehouse organized. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Track and log product inventory, ensuring there are no discrepancies or losses

• Accepts deliveries of company products 

• Receives customer and client orders. Pack and ship orders for delivery

• Report and return damaged products

• Operate Forklift or other machinery required for transporting large, heavy products

• Address and resolve complaints related to product, shipping speeds or damaged items

• Monitor inventory and balance accounts

• Report any issues related to shipping and receiving to warehouse supervisor or management

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Demonstrate the alertness and physical dexterity required to operate heave machinery
• Knowledge of WMS computer systems
• Ability to fix any unexpected glitches with WMS systems
• Familiarity with all warehouse safety precautions
• Strong Organizational skills
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Effective time management and organization
• Ability to Multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Self-starter. Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet customer and /or business needs
• Excellent (verifiable) attendance record
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certified to operate Forklift and other machinery used for moving and transporting products
• 3 + years’ experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless product being stored requires specific temperatures

• Conditions in warehouse setting can be dangerous, as tasks involve operation of heavy machinery

• Tasks are physically demanding, requiring long hours of lifting, standing, repetitive motion.

• PPE may be required. Safety gear to include face mask, ear plugs, steel toe shoes , etc..

$13.00 – $14.00 per hour DOE

Monday- Friday 6:00 am- 2:30 pm  or 2:00 pm-10:30 pm (additional $0.50 shift differential)
