SUMMARY:
The basic function of the Maintenance Mechanic is to perform installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment in a safe, accurate, and timely manner. This includes ensuring all equipment is properly serviced, fully operational, and compliant with safety and operational standards, while maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment
- Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment
- Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual and sounds inspections
- Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions
- Complete repairs and parts replacement
- Work effectively with other team members in noisy environments
- Repair, install, adjust, or maintain a wide range of machines
- Assist in planning and scheduling routine and emergency maintenance of all shop storage locations
- Detect causes of mechanical failures, interpret and ensure compliance with established coder. Calculate data and requisition supplies and materials needed to complete task
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Successful trade or vocational school completion
- Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for extended periods of time
- Working knowledge of two ore more trades
- Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time in various weather conditions when required
- Ability to weld, fit, pipe, refurbish equipment, set and align rotating equipment
- Ability to work varying shifts, overtime, holiday, on call and emergency call ins
EDUCATION
- Associates degree in mechanical, electrical, or engineering specialties
- 2 years minimum verifiable experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience
- Diesel certification highly desired

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless product being stored requires specific temperatures
- Conditions in warehouse setting can be dangerous, as tasks involve operation of heavy machinery. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
- PPE may be required. Safety gear to include face mask, ear plugs, steel toe shoes , etc..
- While performing this job, employee is routinely required to drive, stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers, reach outward, reach above shoulder, climb, crawl, squat or kneel and /or bend. The employee must occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs and/or push/pull up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

$30.00 – $35.00 per hour DOE
Monday- Friday 6:00 am- 2:30 pm or 2:00 pm-10:30 pm (additional $0.50 shift differential)
