SUMMARY:

Our client is seeking a motivated Warehouse Material Handler to join its team. In this role, you will receive materials, pull orders, operate pallet jacks and forklifts (stand up, sit down), load and unload products onto delivery trucks. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) order instructions
  • Stage orders according to carrier location and verify number of pallets picked as well as stage location
  • Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistics process.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse
  • Respond to calls from the sales floor in a timely and professional manner
  • Complete pick ticket orders; prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process
  • Pull and stage orders for each vendor
  • Recognize and correct potential process errors before they adversely affect the client
  • Recognized damaged product and take immediate action for resolve
  • Conform and comply with all Safety guidelines. Follow OSHA policies and procedures
  • Work well with both employees and upper management
  • Unload all OTR deliveries
  • Assist with delivery of materials to other site locations
  • Operate Forklifts safely and responsibly

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to pass Math and LTO Assessment test
  • Superior Attendance performance
  • Minimum 6 Months experience with WMS computer systems
  • Previous experience using handheld scanner
  • Verifiable Forklift Operator experience in one or more of the following : Sit-Down, Pallet Jack, Side Loader, Heavy Duty Forklift, Cherry Picker or Counterbalance Forklift
  • Previous Building Materials experience (minimum 1 year-verifiable)
  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Manufacturing plant temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless product being stored requires specific temperatures
  • Conditions in plant setting can be dangerous, as tasks involve operation of heavy machinery. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • PPE may be required. Safety gear to include face mask, ear plugs, steel toe shoes , etc.

PAY/SHIFT

$17.00-$18.00 per hour DOE

Monday- Friday 6:00 am- 2:30 pm  or 2:00 pm-10:30 pm (additional $0.50 shift differential)

Monday-Thursday 7:00 am- 7:00 pm -Rotating shifts available
