SUMMARY:

The ideal Production Manager provides strategic direction to the organization. Responsible for the efficient manufacturing and continuous improvement of all products and processes ensuring that product quality, employee safety and regulatory requirements are all met or exceeded. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead production efforts to ensure day to day operational success while promoting teamwork at the highest level
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through to achieve results and meet the needs of the business
  • Oversees employee’s productivity, implements and supports GMP’s, including the proper use of equipment materials, minimizes turnover and ensure the production schedule supports the highest levels of customer service and production efficiency.
  • Provide feedback and corrective action plans to support schedule adherence
  • Creating, adjusting, and printing receipts. Lead and document team meeting. 
  • Provide direction and consensus to scheduling department for production schedules
  • Develop and execute training plans, documentation and SOP’s necessary to build a flexible workforce, achieve cost savings, and ensure that maximum efficiency.
  • Comply with GMP quality and security guidelines
  • Report all malfunctions of equipment immediately and communicate the level of urgency for items that need repair.
  • Monitor employee’s attendance for shifts, breaks, lunches and any overtime
  • Recognize problems in production-offering immediate solutions
  • Requisition items from warehouse before production
  • Fill the demands of day-to-day operations supporting different roles to avoid disruption of deadlines
  • Maintain a safety conscious manufacturing environment by ensuring all potential hazards are addressed and corrective actions are in place when necessary
  • Create a positive work environment that rewards superior performance. Report and document violations of policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience at a management level in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership skills, with an ability to build trust, provide direction and vitality to execute with excellence and achieve extraordinary results.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow through and meet deadlines
  • Thrive in a challenging, entrepreneurial atmosphere; open to change and continues improvement
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good judgement, planning, organizing, innovative approach to problem solving
  • Must have advanced knowledge of GMP’s and OSHA

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent- 2 year degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3 + years’ experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Must be willing to achieve PIT and HACCP Certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless product being stored requires specific temperatures
  • Conditions in warehouse setting can be dangerous, as tasks involve operation of heavy machinery. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • PPE may be required. Safety gear to include face mask, ear plugs, steel toe shoes , etc..

PAY/SHIFT

$25.00 – $35.00  per hour DOE

Monday- Friday 6:00 am- 2:30 pm  or 2:00 pm-10:30 pm (additional $0.50 shift differential)
