SUMMARY:
The basic function of the Quality Control Inspector is to ensure all required inspections are taken accurately, completely, and in a timely manner and to ensure the proper controls are implemented and maintained with respect to the records and retention.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report all quality problems and equipment deficiencies to the management team via Client’s Quality Intranet Repository.
- Perform product qualification tests including hydrostatic tests, survival tests, burst test, etc.
- Prepare and maintain quality control documentation in accordance with API and / or other standards to ensure compliance.
- Select QC samples during the production process as per the inspection program and/or project ITPs as applicable.
- Witness and monitor the short term and medium-term survival tests periodically and ensure the tests are not affected with any climatic effects and successfully completed as per the project requirements
- Prepare the daily QC internal reports as well as project specific documentation (Manufacturing Record Book – MRB) to be submitted to the client.
- Adheres to all safety procedures and policies. Provide adequate support to the quality manager on various assignments and task
- Performs routine quality control inspection in accordance with the company’s quality systems, processes, and procedures. Provide effective and accurate start-up inspection
- Provides efficient and accurate inspection for sample runs in process adjustments and tooling modifications
- May perform capability studies to identify capable and incapable processes and can articulate findings to appropriate personnel.
- Read customer drawings and specifications
- Regularly review inspection instructions to determine accuracy of process
- Verify packaging and labeling are accurate on each product.
- Properly documents through NCMR’s, VRR’s and RMA’s and quarantines any nonconforming product discovered; inform Production Supervisor
- Record complete and accurate inspection records using WIN-CONTROL and approved forms.
- Identify Statistical Process Control (SPC) trends and determine reaction plans.
- Effectively communicate all relevant shift information to the oncoming quality control inspector daily
- Properly maintain all inspection equipment and informs Quality Manager if equipment is damaged, worn, or accuracy is affected
- Verify calibration of equipment and informs Quality Manager if any out of calibration issues are found
- Communicate potential issues that may prevent normal inspection rounds from being completed
- Aid in the training new operators
- Ensures that all aspects of the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and enacted. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or functional Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Know how to use ring gauges, thread dimensions, and molded threads.
- Must be familiar with pressure gauges
- Know how to use calipers and micrometers
- Must be able to wear proper PPE during working hours.
- Must provide a minimum of one year of QC experience
Must be able to lift 50 lbs - Must be able to work in non- temperature control environment (hot or cold)
JOB TYPE: Full time
PAY: $16.00- $19.00 per hour/ DOE
SHIFTS: 8:00 am- 4:30 pm Monday-Friday. Occasional Weekend as needed.
EDUCATION
- High School education or equivalent or as deemed sufficient by management.
- Completion of Safety training desired
