Summary:
This position is responsible for functioning as a working lead, supporting the roles of the Warehouse operations, including but not limited to: checker, forklift operator, general labor, inventory, order builder.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work under direct supervision of the Production Supervisor and have ability to work well with others.
- Follow HACCP, GMP and Safety guidelines (training will be provided).
- Train employees in all facets of their jobs, including production operations, paperwork, GMP, HACCP and Safety Procedures. Oversee performance. Conduct 30-60-90 day reviews.
- Conduct Safety Meetings with line employees.
- Work with employees at giving them a level of ownership in the processes they perform.
- Evaluate, resolve and/or escalate production issues as they arise.
- Direct the work of others and effectively coordinate efforts with other departments.
- Oversee the proper operation and setup of processing equipment.
- Conduct daily equipment pre-op and product changeover inspections.
- Maintain and verify production performance levels and eliminate downtime.
- Work with the Maintenance Department to see that all equipment is properly maintained and coordinate repairs when needed without interfering production outcome.
- Work closely with the production scheduler in coordinating daily product runs and material staging.
- Responsible for providing any information needed throughout the production line
- Must be familiar with quality programs and procedures, i.e. HOLD procedures, GMPs, SANITATION in food plant, Company policy.
- Monitor employee’s adherence to GMP’s throughout the facility. · Must be a driven force for Continues Improvement and line efficiency.
- Monitor integrity of HACCP (Food Safety) plans.
- Perform other reasonable job-related duties as requested.
- Ensure that all Food Safety, GMP, Food Quality and Employee Safety rules and programs are followed.
- Conduct daily start shift meetings
- Lead assigned personnel on shift to meet productivity and efficiency targets
- Conduct accuracy/quality audits by verifying product quantity/quality
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
– Language Skills – Must be able to read and write in English, bi-lingual a plus. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
– Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
– Reasoning Ability – Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Requirements
– PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be issued as needed and must be worn at all times.
– While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to loud noises. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
– Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
– Must wear PPE provided by employer (ear plugs, face mask, beard guard, hair net, gloves)
Equipment/Software Used
– Microsoft, Word, Excel and Outlook a plus.
– Electric Pallet Jacks or Sit-down forklift (desired)
– Completion of safe operation and correct function of all production equipment.
Work Environment
– Availability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as scheduled or needed.
– Must work in a professional and courteous manor with subordinates and peers.
– Must be able to work in non-temperature control environment (hot or cold)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour /Additional Shift Diff of $.75
