YARD LABORER

SUMMARY:

Responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties. Responsibilities include yard clean-up, vehicle fueling and general vehicle operation 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain good order and cleanliness of the company property

• Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick up

• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work

• Assemble and disassemble work tools if needed

• Assists deliver drivers in loading and unloading equipment and parts

• Will be involved in washing and/or performing light maintenance work on tools

• Verify fuel consumed; inspect manual tools if needed

• Move equipment or machinery as directed by plant management personnel

• Follow safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals as directed in the employee handbook

• Other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Ability to manage a varied workload with constantly changing priorities

• Well Organized

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Proactive, problem-solving 

• Excellent attendance history

EDUCATION

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience as groundskeeper preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Warehouse temperatures are variable and often uncontrolled, unless product being stored requires specific temperatures

• Conditions in warehouse setting can be dangerous, as tasks involve operation of heavy machinery. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts

• PPE may be required. Safety gear to include face mask, ear plugs, steel toe shoes , etc..

PAY/SHIFT

$10.00- $12.00 per hour DOE

Monday- Friday 6:00 am- 2:30 pm  or 2:00 pm-10:30 pm (additional $0.50 shift differential)
